Our 2017 Job Market Report is here! Based on input from almost 2000 respondents across various organizational levels and job functions in Marketing, Digital, Fashion, Retail & Beauty, this study provides information to help job seekers and hiring managers alike navigate the current employment market.
The good news is that leading job market indicators are positive. Salaries rose again this year. Hiring managers plan to hire for both new and existing positions. And with employment conditions favoring the job seeker, there was a major uptick in professionals who report plans to make a job move in the next year. One in five already have offers in hand.
As always, seeking better compensation is the number one reason to move. But candidates are open to trade-offs if the money isn’t right. Other talent lures include professional development and career growth opportunities, followed by better company culture.
Talent’s search for the Ideal Workplace/Job is still on – with only 16% reporting to have found employment perfection, and less than half of employees say they are fully engaged at work. What makes for the ultimate work situation and what can companies do to move towards the ideal? Download the full report and get the scoop.
As always with our annual study, our goal is to uncover insights that companies can use to improve their employment offers, evolve their corporate culture, enhance their employment brand, and create a magnetic workplace that’s increasingly hard to leave.
