This is a hands-on, fit-focused Technical Design role supporting Women’s RTW apparel, with a focus on soft wovens and cut-and-sew knits. The Technical Designer will own the technical development process from design handoff through production, partnering closely with Design, Product Development, and overseas vendors to ensure fit accuracy, quality, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the full technical development lifecycle from design handoff through production
Create and maintain detailed tech packs, graded spec sheets, construction details, and BOMs
Lead and document fit sessions on live models across a range of sizes
Analyze and resolve fit and construction issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Communicate clear, actionable fit comments to overseas factories
Review and approve SMS, PP, and TOP samples
Ensure consistency in fit, quality, and construction across styles and fabrications
Maintain accurate documentation in PLM systems and manage development calendars
Qualifications:
5–7+ years of experience as a Women’s RTW Technical Designer
Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems (FlexPLM, Centric, WFX, or similar)
Experience fitting a wide range of body types and sizes
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Experience working with overseas vendors and global production
Degree in Technical Design, Patternmaking, or Fashion Design preferred
Experience with CLO3D or Browzwear is a plus
