Global Apparel Brand is seeking a Product Development Manager!
Overview: Lead a team of apparel product developers in bringing products from concept to commercialization. Ensure timelines, cost targets and quality standards are met, while safeguarding product integrity and aligning closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Marketing and Design to deliver against category and business objectives.
- Drive end-to-end product development process and calendar adherence.
- Research and propose new materials, technologies, and construction methods.
- Oversee and negotiate product costing, ensuring alignment with target prices.
- Manage information flow and handover between internal teams and external partners/suppliers.
- Evaluate prototypes for fit, construction, color, trims, and overall product quality.
- Ensure all materials, components, and products meet quality, safety, and testing standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop the product development team to high performance.
Skills & Experience:
- 3–5+ years of progressive experience in apparel/garment or textile product development.
- First experience managing or leading a team.
- Deep knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing processes.
- Advanced understanding of materials, physical/wear testing, and quality requirements.
- Strong costing knowledge and negotiation capability.
- Ability to assess fit and provide clear technical feedback to suppliers.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable with change and ambiguity.
- Proficient in MS Office and product data systems (e.g., PDM, CAD).
Temporary/Contract
Duration – 7 months with potential to extend
Hybrid Work Schedule- 3 to 4 days in office
