Job description

Regional Manager, West Coast (Luxury Retail)

The ideal candidate is a seasoned multi-unit luxury retail leader who combines strong commercial acumen with a genuine passion for fashion, premium products, and high-touch client service. They are energized by being in stores, developing leaders, and driving a consistent luxury experience across all locations in their region.

This individual has 5+ years of experience managing multiple luxury retail stores or departments, including full P&L responsibility, inventory, operations, and customer service. They have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs, optimizing staffing and schedules, and improving performance in underperforming locations through targeted action plans.

As a people-focused leader, they have at least 5 years of management experience leading teams of 6 or more, with demonstrated success in hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and retention. They are known for building strong Store Managers and management benches, running effective performance reviews, and cultivating a culture of accountability, clienteling, and “train the trainer” development.

The candidate is highly organized and comfortable overseeing new store openings, remodels, closures, and systems implementations. They are adept at rolling out brand standards, visual merchandising and luxury service rituals, and ensuring operational consistency across standalone boutiques and department store concessions or multi-channel formats.

They bring strong business and analytical skills, using retail reporting tools, KPI dashboards, and CRM/clienteling platforms to interpret data, understand trends, and make informed decisions. They proactively monitor the competitive landscape, stay current on retail and customer trends, and adjust strategies to protect and grow market share.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and executive presence, able to influence senior store leaders, partner effectively with HR and senior leadership, and navigate change and ambiguity with confidence. They are experienced in handling employee relations, coaching through performance issues, and ensuring compliance with labor laws, policies, safety, and loss prevention.

Personally, they are client-obsessed, collaborative, and integrity-driven. They lead by example on the sales floor, embodying a “client first” mentality and inspiring teams to deliver an elevated customer experience. They are comfortable working more than 40 hours per week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, recognizing the demands of a dynamic retail environment.

The position is based in Los Angeles, CA, and the candidate must be willing and able to travel approximately 70% of the time across the West Coast region (including California, Texas, Arizona, Washington, Nevada, and Hawaii). Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to manage a large, dispersed region are essential.

A BA in Business or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required, along with proven success in luxury or premium retail environments where brand integrity, clienteling, and operational excellence are paramount.
