6 week contract to start

Our client is a leading fashion retailer. They are seeking a contract Colorist.


Review brand color palette and assess any potentially difficult (high touch) colors. Identify the best process routes for each color by working with mills and dye companies

Communicate externally and internally the color palette as directed by design

Evaluate and approve or reject lab dip and bulk results; communicate results to the Brand via tracking chart

Ensure the same color across product categories is acceptable

Act as technical advisor to individual suppliers or mills that need help achieving standards either at lab dip or bulk processing stage, as required

Maintain color reference library and ensure accurate record keeping

Follow industry standard and proper color communication

Ensure brand calendar due dates are met.  Communicate to Product Developer where late color approval may impact delivery

Operate digital color measurement equipment and ensure that suppliers who use this equipment are conforming to brand’s color SOPs


Demonstrated understanding of current fashion trends

Strong verbal and written verbal communication skills

Strong color sense

Proficiency in MS Windows and Office suite
