Copywriter

Location: Remote, United States
Duration: 4 month contract with potential to extend- 40 hours/weekly
Pay Rate: $35.00-$40.00/hr

Role Overview:
You will work as a copywriter/editor/proofreader on the pre-sales side of our client’s in-house creative team, partnering with brand, partner, and product marketing to create B2B collateral for emerging brands and marketplace sellers. Responsibilities include writing, editing, and proofreading short-form content such as infographics, videos, paid media, newsletters, event materials, and platform UI. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling copy, and an understanding of data, legal, and compliance standards. Adtech, B2B marketing, and small business marketing experience are a plus.

A meticulous eye for detail is critical in this role as is an understanding of data and statistics including legal and compliance best practices. You should have a flair for words and be able to translate technical and marketing jargon into simple compelling language. Adtech and B2B marketing experience are major pluses. Experience marketing to small businesses is also a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Writing net-new materials (primarily shortform)
• Copy editing and simplifying stakeholder-written materials for clarity, organization, ease of reading and brand voice
• Proofreading stakeholder-written materials for typos, spelling and grammar

Top 3 Skills:

• B.A. in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent
• 5+ years writing, editing or copy-editing within tech, adtech, eCommerce, marketing or related industry
• Can manage multiple projects and deadlines
