Job Title: Product Owner – Functional
Location: Plano, TX (local candidates only; onsite 2 days/week)
Contract: 6 months (1/20/2026 – 7/19/2026) Mat Leave Coverage
Schedule: 2 days/week (Tuesday & Wednesday)
Our QSR client is looking for an experienced Product Owner to manage the product backlog and drive the deployment of a consumer-facing kiosk solution in retail locations. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role working closely with engineering, marketing, product, and operations teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience. The position requires 5+ years of product management experience, with exposure to consumer-facing applications and agile delivery frameworks.
Product Vision & Strategy
Define and communicate a compelling product vision for kiosks, grounded in customer and business insights.
Translate strategy into actionable objectives and outcomes.
Continuously refine the roadmap based on data, feedback, and evolving business needs.
Backlog Management & Delivery
Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and improvements across multiple initiatives.
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure predictable, high-quality releases.
Track success metrics (OKRs) and ensure alignment to business outcomes.
Customer-Centric Discovery
Lead discovery efforts to uncover real customer problems and validate solutions before build.
Engage with guests, store teams, and internal stakeholders to gather insights and test hypotheses.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, product, finance, operations, and legal to co-create solutions.
Drive open communication, shared learning, and rapid iteration across teams.
Agile Leadership
Apply Agile, Scrum, and Kanban principles to prioritize work, facilitate ceremonies, and enable team productivity.
Champion continuous improvement, experimentation, and iterative delivery.
5+ years of experience in product management, preferably with consumer-facing apps.
Hands-on experience managing backlogs and driving cross-functional product delivery.
Comfortable working locally in Plano, TX on an as-needed on-site basis.
Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience engaging stakeholders across product, marketing, and engineering.
Experience deploying products to live environments (e.g., retail or customer-facing kiosks).
