Our hospitality client in DC is looking for their next Marketing Director who will lead day-to-day marketing efforts for a dynamic, venue-driven hospitality business. This role is responsible for owning and executing marketing across digital channels while working closely with on-site teams to bring events, programming, and guest experiences to life. The ideal candidate brings deep hospitality experience, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to balance strategy with execution in a fast-paced, highly experiential environment.
This position will require three days in the office and occasional nights and weekends for events. This position will report to the VP of Hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute day-to-day marketing operations across all channels, including email, social media, paid media, website management, SEO, and influencer marketing.
- Lead and manage external partners and vendors, including agencies supporting brand and social initiatives, ensuring high-quality execution and brand consistency.
- Oversee digital marketing budgets, including paid media spend (Meta), and manage interns supporting marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with hospitality and venue teams to develop, plan, and promote programming across locations.
- Drive venue programming strategy by determining what events occur, when they take place, and where they are hosted to maximize engagement and revenue.
- Maintain a hands-on presence with venues, ensuring marketing efforts are closely aligned with on-the-ground execution and guest experience.
- Apply hospitality-focused marketing expertise to enhance brand visibility, guest acquisition, and repeat visitation.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of marketing experience, with a strong emphasis on hospitality, lifestyle, or venue-based brands.
- Proven experience owning end-to-end marketing execution across digital channels, including email, social media, paid media, website management, SEO, and influencer marketing.
- Hands-on experience working with hospitality or experiential brands, with a deep understanding of venue programming, events, and guest engagement.
- Experience managing external agencies, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage marketing budgets, including paid media spend, and oversee junior team members or interns.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution, particularly in an on-site, venue-driven business
