Marketing Operations Lead (Freelance)
Our Medical Device client is seeking a Freelance Marketing Operations Lead to help optimize and scale our marketing infrastructure during a period of rapid growth and transformation. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance visibility into performance, and ensure marketing activities are executed efficiently and compliantly within a regulated medical device environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and refine end-to-end marketing operations workflows across campaign planning, execution, and reporting.
- Implement standardized intake, scoping, and resourcing processes for marketing requests across channels (digital, field, events, content, and brand).
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and IT to evaluate and optimize the marketing technology stack (e.g., CRM, MAP, analytics, project management tools).
- Establish clear SLAs, RACI frameworks, and governance models to ensure alignment with legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain scalable documentation, including process maps, operational playbooks, and training materials.
- Set up performance tracking frameworks, dashboards, and reporting cadences to monitor campaign effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Support demand generation and field marketing teams with standardized briefs, calendars, and handoff processes to sales and other stakeholders.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and propose data-driven improvements that enhance speed-to-market without compromising quality or compliance.
- Facilitate change management by training marketers and partners on new tools, processes, and best practices.
- Act as a strategic advisor to marketing leadership on operational priorities, resource allocation, and scalability.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, revenue operations, or related roles.
- Proven track record building or significantly improving marketing processes in a high-growth or complex organization.
- Experience in healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated industries strongly preferred.
- Hands-on familiarity with modern marketing tools (e.g., marketing automation, CRM, workflow/project management, analytics platforms).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, build dashboards, and translate insights into operational recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable navigating cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic, self-directed contractor who can quickly assess needs and deliver structured solutions.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments and driving clarity, prioritization, and alignment.
