24 Seven Earns Coveted Women's Business Enterprise Distinction
Staffing Industry Leader Gets Important New Status Granted by Women's Business Enterprise National Council
April 25, 2008
24 Seven, the premier talent resource for fashion, retail, beauty, marketing, advertising, creative services, home furnishings, and entertainment, has earned a new status as a certified Women's Business Enterprise by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council. Owned and operated by staffing executives Celeste Gudas and Sheilah Hogan, 24 Seven is committed to furthering the growth and prominence of executive level women leaders in the creative industries.
The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is dedicated to advancing the success of certified women's business enterprises, government agencies and corporate members in partnership with its affiliated women's business organizations. Founded in 1997, the WBENC is the nation's leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America's corporations. It also is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States. WBENC works to foster diversity in the world of commerce with programs and policies designed to expand opportunities and eliminate barriers in the marketplace for women business owners. WBENC works with representatives of corporations to encourage the utilization and expansion of supplier/vendor diversity programs.
"We are thrilled to earn this distinction because we truly have worked to advance the profile of women in the industries in which we work," said Celeste Gudas, a Smith College graduate. "This is one of the most widely recognized and respected distinctions a company can get."
Gudas and Hogan founded the company in 2000 after working more than 10 years as recruiters in the marketing and apparel staffing industry. Since then, 24 Seven has quickly established itself as a staffing industry leader by innovating current industry processes and establishing new standards of practice for freelance and fulltime staffing. The company expanded to the west coast and opened offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco and Seattle. In addition, the first international office was opened in London last year.
The company's clients include major leading brands such as Abercrombie, Ann Taylor, Calvin Klein, Cutler & Buck, J. Crew, Juicy Couture, Target, Creature, REI, Quiksilver, Oxygen Media, Starbucks and a host of other companies. To learn more about 24 Seven, go to 24seveninc.com.
