24 Seven and Phat Farm team up to support Fashion Delivers

By: Hillary Townsend Fashion Week in NY is a blur of parties,taxi cabs, and too high heels. However, partygoers to the private shopping event cohosted by 24 Seven and Phat Farm had more on their minds then champagne.
All proceeds from the Sept 6th event were donated to Fashion Delivers to supplement its ongoing relief efforts. The charity, formed one year ago in direct response to the Hurricane Katrina tragedy, donates clothing, furnishings and other essentials to victims of natural disasters. Its mission is to provide products from all parts of the fashion and related industries to victims of natural disasters, matching need with availability of products.
The cocktail party, which drew 120 of the industry's brightest, also celebrated the winner of Fashion Delivers' T-shirt design contest, underwritten by Phat Farm. The lucky winner, Khyjan Mansker, will see his limited edition design sold at Phat Farm stores and future Fashion Delivers events.
Phat Farm CEO Russell Simmons was on hand to unveil the T-shirt and had this to say about the winning design, "Out of all the creative entries we reviewed, Kyjan's design best captured the essence of unity, which reflects the mission of Fashion Delivers".
24 Seven's own Celeste Gudas underscored the importance of the charity's work, stating "24 Seven is committed to furthering the mission of Fashion Delivers, however we can, and we are proud to be associated with such a vital and important organization".
