Job description

Our client, a Busy Ad Agency, is looking for an Account Director to join their team. This will be full time/direct hire and remote to start then ideally hybrid to their West LA office! 

• Helps develop creative strategies, develops creative briefs, and ensures the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to assure earnings, growth and profit goals are achieved.
• Works closely with the client and the Team to include research, creative, media on the development of and execution of strategic marketing plans and ensures that clients continually receive superior service, thinking and quality from our company and that strategy, planning, programs, tactics, budgets, schedules, creatives, documentation, and account profitability stays on track.
• Participates in new business efforts; advises of the potential for new business opportunities in the local market area.
• Act as a day-to-day client contact and lead client project with little oversight while overseeing and managing a cross-functional internal team.
• Oversee and manage a variety of clients and client project deliverables simultaneously.
• Develop and oversee all project budgets and billing needs. Maintains awareness and controls situations which may lead to the risk of write-offs.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• A strong manager with team building skills and mentoring abilities.
• Attends appropriate business/social functions which may enhance the image of the agency, reveal growth opportunities, identify risks to the business or solidify client relationships.
• Applies best practices and learnings from previous projects to elevate performance level.
• Understands and executes revenue forecasting, agency direct costs and staffing needs relative to each assigned client.
• Communicates regularly with client senior management, marketing, and advertising management.
• Read industry related materials to stay abreast of trends and market activity.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• 10+ years of related experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Strong client relations skills.
• Proficiency in project management and proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong background in all aspects of project development to include but not limited to digital, social, TV, radio, print, and website.
• Strong interpersonal experience working directly with Agency research, creative and media teams.
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
• Ability to be nimble, problem solve, innovate, and respond quickly to client needs.
• Experience with diverse community outreach programs and communications.
• Experience managing and executing government contracts a plus.
