Job description

Our client, a well-known brand design agency, is looking to add a FT Account Manager to their Account Strategy team! This person will sit remotely, but can be located in any of the following states: Chicago, California, New York,  Texas, and Colorado and have design agency experience. 

 

Overview:

The Account Manager has proven expertise in all account management responsibilities and is focused on providing strategic leadership for assigned accounts, ensuring overarching client needs are being met and looking for opportunities to build the business with existing or new clients. 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Account Management, history working in Marketing, Branding and packaging design, Project Management
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Problem resolution and communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate internal team and client needs, serving as a valued partner
  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple assignments/projects at one time
  • Comfort with working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading others is a plus
  • Adds value throughout the creative process, contributing and supporting business and clients
  • Works with an optimistic attitude and is a champion in the project process
  • Works collaboratively with Operations, Account Strategy and Creative teams

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Project Management: 

  • Handles multiple projects or accounts under a single or multiple clients
  • Manages client and agency needs in a timely and organized manner
  • Prepares estimates or scope of work with timelines and key milestones 
  • Effectively manages project schedules with appropriate resources
  • Prepares timely budgets, billings and projection updates

Account Management:

  • Builds Strong and Trustworthy Client Relationships
  • Oversees multiple clients or accounts 
  • Ensures overarching client expectations are being met
  • Anticipates client needs and identifies business opportunities
  • Identifies Key Opportunities for Client Growth
  • Manages the overall budget and profitability of a client
  • Communicates overarching client challenges, opportunities, and successes 
  • Develops initiatives to help build our team’s core competence and growth (i.e. book club, lunch and learns etc.)
  • Clear competency in understanding both internal and external team dynamics and personalities 

Account Strategy: 

  • Provides overarching strategic leadership to assigned clients or accounts 
  • Partners with the Account Strategy team to plan and develop presentations
  • Participates in Brand Strategy Development  (i.e. Consumer Profile,  Brand Architecture, Portfolio Strategy)
  • Lead Brand Strategy Ideation Sessions/Brainstorms
  • Develops Equity, Branding and Packaging Focused Learning Plans - Qual and Quant
  • Looks for opportunities to partner with the Creative Strategy team on the development of foundational frameworks
  • Keeps a strong pulse on industry news and relevant category trends

Business Leadership:

  • Looks for opportunities to grow the business and expand our capabilities with both existing and new clients
  • Looks for opportunities to add value beyond his/her assigned project work 
  • Is dedicated to internal and external growth initiatives
  • Ensures brand is constantly top of mind and relevant
