Overview: The Designer is responsible for the design of multiple categories in women’s and men’s apparel- wovens and knits.Apparel Designer Responsibilities:
- Design multiple categories based on the seasonal concept of the Creative Design Director
- Input, build and create Design portion of Tech packs, and updating changes in BOM and tech packs
- Actively participates in the conceptual development of seasonal assortment
- Participate in Design meetings and reviews
- Market trend research for ongoing development
- Assist in color card development
- Prepare and pre-approval lab dips and print development
- Assists in the preparing and researching of seasonal trim / fabric research decks
- Organization of fabrics, trims, materials, and lab dips
- Support design and development to finalize tech packs during pre-production stage
- Assist with flat cad sketches and POM
- Minimum college degree in fashion design
- Minimum 5 years of design experience in women’s/men’s apparel
- Understanding of design, drape and fit
- Hand sketching skills of design and flats
- Strong computer skills in Illustrator and Excel
