Boys Graphic Designer

Client Overview: 
Retail Apparel and Fashion Company out of New York, NY that handles garment production, licensing and imports worldwide for mens, womens, junior and kids apparel. 

Position Overview:
We are looking for a Talented Boys Graphic Apparel Designer to join the creative design team and build out seasonal graphic design plans for our Kids & Young Mens division! You'll be able to see graphic design projects from concept to completion, and play an active role in setting the seasonal and annual aesthetic of the apparel line.


Graphic Designer Responsibilities:
  • Create Trim and Branding Packaging
  • Research and develop seasonal design aesthetic plans and mood boards
  • Prepare graphic designs for use across all age categories/genders
  • Create graphics for screen prints, embroidery, and other special techniques
  • Create all over prints and print repeats
  • Help to update CADS when needed with graphics and colorations
  • Work with sales on special projects
  • Pitch artwork for production ready files (sizing/color call outs)
  • Review/comment on artwork submits for production approval
  • Maintain art library
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure deadlines are met

Graphic Designer Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design within the apparel industry
  • Background in kids is a MUST
  • Strong sense of color, trim, and current market trends
  • Must have experience sizing tee shirt art for mass production, communicating with vendors, analyzing and commenting on strike offs 
  • Must be proficient Adobe creative suite, primarily Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Ability to take direction and feedback
  • Critical thinker with ability to multitask
  • Work well in a fast paced environment with strong time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative
  • Working 4 days per week at the New York office is a requirement.
