Full-Time Employment

Salary- MAX $110k – target $100-105k + 10% bonus + Equity 

There will be travel required to various shoots (up to 20%).  Need people that can work in fast-paced environments.  This role is ATL based.  They are remote now, but will be going back onsite.
 
These roles are less hands-on, and more big-picture. 

Role #1: Client seeks a candidate with omnichannel experience:  Social, Digital, large brand campaigns, Conceptual, and strategic; Would like to see portfolios that tell a story; This role is more leadership and strategy not hands-on design.  Likes candidates that have worked on brand initiatives and have agency backgrounds.  Also likes candidates with a background in copy and content strategy.

Role #2: Client is building out a new team that will be doing more creative testing (testing creative plans, insights, creative optimization).  This role is also heavy strategy and more "big ideas."  Little to no hands-on design.  Looking for someone that can sell-in new ideas.
 


POSITION PURPOSE
The Manager, Art Direction is responsible for the guidance of creative associates across all channels. These responsibilities include creating and communicating concepts, implementing promotional/marketing strategies and developing creative solutions. The Manager, Art Direction will work with and provide guidance to the creative team including art direction, designers, copywriters and other production specialists. Balancing creative thinking with solid leadership skills, this associate will work with the team to successfully translate concepts to visual expression.

TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

30% Continuous Improvement - Help establish art direction standards for creative production; Improves art direction and creative quality by studying, evaluating and improving creative methods used; Support dissemination of final creative assets to capture best practices and share across creative organization; Maintain stewardship of retail brand image, tone and feel. Collaborate with designers and other team members to share best practices and ensure consistency in creative execution


50% Creative Excellence and Execution - Drive creative excellence, best practices and consistent creative execution across all channels; Provide a high level of conceptual thinking with the ability to understand how copy and art work within a concept; Ensure story lines are aligned with creative concepts and brand standards; Attend and support production shoot logistics, review shooting boards to ensure necessary content is captured and approved as made real time; Provide creative oversight and input (on creative treatments) for creative assets, both internally-produced and agency-produced; Manage communications and updates to creative leadership as well as stakeholders; Oversee quality assurance of creative deliverables, from both internal teams and partner agencies, to ensure designs align with strategy and adhere to brand, channel and platform guidelines


10% Leadership - Mentor and coach team members through project development and performance management
10% Relationship Building - Support and maintain relationships by communicating updates across pods and production teams and help prepare materials for updates; Identify and partner with Campaign Activation Management team and Operations on opportunities for improvements in creative process, timelines, approvals, etc

Required:

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years

Previous creative leadership experience in a retail environment or advertising agency preferred
Experience guiding and leading omni-channel creative production teams
Portfolio demonstrating strong design, branding and storytelling abilities, with examples spanning consumer touchpoints (video/print/digital/social), preferably in a retail context
Experience working and leading creative teams in an agile work environment
Ability to develop others as individuals and formal leaders
Understanding of creative organization and omni-channel marketing channels
Ability to adapt and change in creative environments, multitask and prioritize
Insistence on design quality and customer centric focus
