The Planning Associate will support the Women Merchandise planning team maintain seasonal financial projections and strategies while identifying risks and opportunities to improve the overall business process.

Planning Associate Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain pre/in season financial and code plans at the OTB category level
  • Complete monthly OTB process by analyzing performance and reforecasting all OTB elements by category
  • Ensure financial objectives align with company strategy (revenue, margin, returns, cancels, inventory levels)
  • Identify opportunities and risks through analysis and reporting
  • Partner with Merchandising teams to develop and validate bottoms up plans
  • Monitor merchandise inventory positions to maximize sales, profitability and achieve operational objectives
  • Drive process innovation and improvement
  • Manage liability through developing plans for markdown cadence (inventory, ST% projection, and pricing)
  • Complete end of season post mortem to utilize and make recommendations for future seasons
  • Collect information to create action plan and present finding to cross functional teams
  • Establish relationships and build trust with buying counterparts

Planning Associate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of retail buying, planning or financial analysis experience required
  • Ecommerce experience preferred
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to pivot and change course
  • Positive attitude for working in fast-paced, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment
  • Results driven; strategic, conceptual and innovative thinker
  • Comfortable analyzing and interpreting data to drive decisions
  • Expert command of retail math concepts, applications and statistical analysis
  • Advanced Excel with experience with Macros is required

*This is a temporary position for a 6+ month assignment, working full time hours.
