Associate DesignerClient Overview:
Retail Apparel and Fashion Company out of New York, NY that handles garment production, licensing and imports worldwide for mens, womens, junior and kids apparel.
Position Overview:
One of North America's leading apparel companies is growing and looking for a motivated Associate Designer to contribute to the creative atmosphere. They are a fast-paced company specializing in branded and private label programs looking for a talented designer who specializes in cad design, tech pack creation, and seeing samples through from Proto to TOP.
Associate Designer Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Designers at start of the season to comp shop and prepare trend presentations
- Ability to create detailed product tech packs for sampling and production
- Ability to create front and back technical sketches
- Partner with the Graphic Designer to create initial cads and presentation boards for line reviews.
- Experience setting up production ready artwork files for placement graphics and all over prints a plus
- Work with the production team to ensure accurate comments are made on lab dips, strike-offs, and trims
Associate Designer Qualifications:
- Have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop on a Mac platform
- Have excellent communication skills and experience working with overseas partners
- Be able to work in a collaborative environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Working 5 days per week at the New York office is a requirement.
