24 Seven is partnering with their lifestyle apparel and footwear client to find them an Associate Tech Designer to join their team in this full-time, salaried position. This role is located in the Santa Barbara, CA area, so ideally they would work with someone who will relocate (they can help with relo) or is within driving distance and able to work onsite up to 4 days/week. Brief details are below. 

The Role
-The Technical Design Associate role is responsible for supporting the Apparel Technical Design department in many areas of Tech Design from initial design development protos to final approval for production.  This includes but is not limited to:  preparing for fittings including measuring samples, working in FlexPLM system, tracking and logging samples, updating Tech Packs, taking photographs, filing digital and analog files.  
-This position will learn about construction of garments, how to properly measure a garment, how to balance overall specification based off updates made from fits, and how to effectively communicate to overseas partners for adjustments to garments.  
-This role interacts with Product Development, Design, and Product Line Management, and outside contractors

Your Impact 
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
1.  Assist with documentation of fit, sizing and construction updates throughout entire product life cycle.  Including assisting on technical specification packages for all prototypes.  
2.  Responsible for reviewing and updating fit comments in FlexPLM system
3.  Responsible for tracking and logging of samples and organizing files
4.  Email communication with internal and cross-functional teams (US and International)
5.  Participate in departmental and cross-functional meetings as appropriate.

We’d love to hear from people with 
-  2 – 4 years’ of relevant work experience in related field
-  Able to multi-task and work on multiple projects and seasons at one time
-  Experience with Excel technical packages, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
-  Knowledge of any of the following computer programs: FlexPLM systems, Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
-  Knowledge in Patternmaking software:  Gerber, Lectra, Optitex is a plus
-  Knowledge in 3D apparel design software a plus
