Associate Accessories Technical Designer
Client Overview:
Our client designs, sources, markets and sells fashion-forward footwear and accessories for women, men and children.
Associate Technical Designer Overview:
As the Associate Technical Designer, you will oversee all aspects of technical design to ensure accuracy of product measurements, quality and construction.
Associate Technical Designer Responsibilities:
• Assist design with creating technical construction specs for development
• Follow production through construction samples/PP samples/TOP Samples for all accounts
• Creates technical drawings for hardware in congruent with each Market Week
• Works closely with all cross-functional teams including Design, Production, and Sales
• Review samples for corrections including aesthetics, dimensions, hand feel, functionality and workmanship
• Maintain established standards, details (including hardware) and integrity of the product
• Identify, clearly define, and resolve technical issues and partner with PD team to ensure comments are communicated
• Generate Excel spreadsheets for sample tracking and seamless factory communication
• Assist in creating packaging design and technical specs for specialty box programs
Associate Technical Designer Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proven technical design experience
• Proficient with Adobe Illustrator
