Brand Manager Overview:
The Brand Manager will be responsible for leading key projects and initiatives which effectively drive consumer conversation and conversion. This position requires a dynamic and experienced Brand Manager who has demonstrated the ability to effectively build multi-channel marketing programs and balance strategic thinking with a focus on execution.
Responsible for the management of the brand. The Brand Manager serves as a leader to drive the success of our company. The core activities associated with this position include operations, execution of sales initiatives, competitor/ market knowledge, merchandise planning, development and production coordination , oversight of an independent sales team and sales support. The Brand Manager is expected to utilize resources within the company and provide the needed expertise to manage product life cycles. The Brand Manager is expected to guide the team in development of product lineups as the liaison between design, production, operations, and sales.
Responsible for the products that fall under the brand.
Work closely with internal departments such as sales, marketing, supply chain, operations and product development as well as external resources to bring the brand’s strategy to life.
Manage comprehensive product development milestones to ensure on time delivery and quality go-to-market execution.
Manage the design calendar and ensure designs are delivered on time.
Monitor the timely communication with vendors through the product development lifecycle.
Work with the marketing, graphic design, and product development team to create design briefs in order to translate into comprehensive specs within technical documentation.
Lead cost negotiations to ensure targets are met along with product objectives.
Execute seasonal forecasting and providing direction to Supply Chain for inventory management/ and PO placement.
Make sure customer deliveries and service levels exceed expectations.
Liaison with licensor to ensure contractual obligations and approvals are met .
Collaborate with Sales manager to develop sales programs and initiatives/promotions to deliver targeted sales and profit goals.
Identify key selling points – both features and benefits – make sure important messages are delivered in all communication. Make sure all benefits are adequately explained to validate the core brand promise.
Assist with the management and execution of brand related events (tradeshows, sales meetings, etc.)
Conduct competitive analysis and Communicate key findings to the organization.
Communicate seasonal product launches and/or product changes to the appropriate members of the organization.
Regularly assess the brand’s market position and make necessary adjustments and recommendations to improve the Brands’ market position.
Oversee the brands direct to consumer initiative and website.
Report monthly on key business metrics and sales action performance.
Serve as the brand’s principle point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Five (5) or more years’ experience in the action sports industry
Five (5) or more years’ experience with product and brand management
Experience managing people
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and illustrator
Experience in Nuorder is desired
Bachelor’s degree or higher
