Candidate Profile JJD recognizes that significant changes in the marketplace demand a new perspective on branding – elevating clarity, authenticity, empathy and future-forward thinking in our strategic deliverables. These include developing strategies for branding (Vision + Purpose, Value Proposition, Brand Positioning + Personality), Brand Architecture, Portfolio Strategy, Verbal Branding, including naming and launch strategies. This role will work across the entire J&J businesses, with a focus on Pharmaceuticals. Possessing a real passion for brands, you have a talent to engage with a wide range of partners successfully and an inherent ability to synthesize disparate inputs into actionable frameworks, strategies and designs. You are a self-starter and a confident leader. You have a high level of purpose and will only deliver excellence in work quality. Primary Responsibilities o You will synthesize inputs and insights to develop Brand Strategies that guide creative execution across multiple touchpoints, including packaging, digital context, structures and environments o You will identify existing and emerging trends to inform creative and strategic opportunity areas o You will set and lead project objectives, partnering with other disciplines to define strategies and tactics to net optimal business results o You have a clear point of view that is articulated through a thoughtful and considered approach to achieve strategic results o You will grow, build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships and business relationships at all levels of the organization o You will be adept at moving business goals and dense insights into focused and actionable plans to drive forward quickly into implementation o You will be an advocate to drive and execute environmentally sustainable design solutions Qualifications o At least a bachelor’s degree in Branding or related field; a graduate degree is preferred o 10+ years of brand design leadership-related experience is required o Experience in Pharmaceutical execution experience is a plus o Strong visual, written and oral communication skills are required. Experience in Verbal Branding and Naming is a plus o Clear, concise writing, synthesis, speaking and presentation skills are required o Demonstrated experience guiding business partners through the design process o Preparing and facilitating workshops; designing insight-rich reports, stories, pitch decks and projects briefs
