Contract Communications Specialist 

This is a part-time contract position through the end of calendar year 2021, with the possibility of extending into 2022. The position will report to a Corporate Communications Manager. Flexible part-time hours on flexible weekdays, totaling approximately 10-15 hours per week. (Virtual until at least Sept. 13; virtual might be extended further.)

Communications Specialist  Overview:

The Corporate Communications team is looking for a dynamic Specialist, Employee and Business Communications contractor to support internal communications programs. You will connect the dots across wide-reaching programs, managing projects that drive team effectiveness and operations and help improve the employee experience. We lead by example, and this role will be no different.

 

 

Communications Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update communications plans that inform employees and inspire them to change behavior
  • Review and manage tactics listed in the plans and enter them into the content team’s calendar system (Airtable)
  • Update and enter projects into creative management system (Workfront)
  • Liaise with our creative team to develop promotional collateral for various projects
  • Update communications plans with measurements, details, links and divisional execution (open rates, views, etc.)
  • Develop standardized measurement report, including the process to build it, to be completed per campaign
  • SharePoint Reorganization: digital archiving and organization of finalized tactics
  • Organization of leader bios and headshots
  • Assist with uploading files to our Digital Asset Management system
  • Attend and participate in biweekly team meetings and other work-related meetings
  • Other tasks as assigned that support the Employee and Business Communications team


 

 

Communications Specialist  Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in public relations, communications or a related field preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills; familiarity with Associated Press style preferred
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong people skills, including the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others
  • Keen attention to detail with strong follow-through
  • High-energy, agile with an eagerness to learn and contribute to a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized and meet deadlines
