We are looking for an Assigning Editor who’s eager to join a mission-driven organization that’s championing financial progress for everyone. This position will involve editing long-form articles (1,000–1,500 words) in a manner consistent with our company's rigorous editorial standards for voice, sourcing, accuracy and transparency. This role will focus primarily on the Home Loans content vertical, so a candidate with experience writing or editing the mortgage space is highly preferred. You’ll join a team with exceptionally high editorial standards. Our team members have worked at some of the top journalism and personal finance outlets in the U.S.
As Assigning Editor, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping our readers understand and navigate complex financial decisions. You’ll work closely with our team of Assigning Editors and Copy Editors to deliver polished, high-quality content that adheres to SEO best practices. The ideal candidate has experience with SEO content strategy with the aim of developing content to capture organic traffic and engagement. The ideal candidate should also have experience editing in a fast-paced environment and experience working with freelance writers on a remote basis.
