Job description

Our client, a Marketing Group, is looking for a permanent FT Creative Director to join their team to define the creative vision for DBM and our Clients that delivers clear and impactful impressions from ideation, concepts, designs, copywriting, through execution.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create creative vision through a holistic approach of the creative process in its entirety for all channels.
  • Generate “big ideas” and present creative concepts in client meetings Manage the creative process from concept to completion
  • Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead creative briefing sessions to set clear marketing objectives and key deliverables
  • Meet with clients or upper management to explain campaign strategies and solutions
  • Work with the Leadership & account teams to produce new ideas for prospecting, promotional campaigns, and marketing communications
  • Lead and direct creative team in the creative process and production of all marketing collateral (Art Director, Jr & Sr Designers, Copywriter)
  • Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met
  • Supervise the department's daily workflow, assign project workload, provide feedback, and monitor deadlines and budgets
  • Manage, inspire, and cultivate the career development of creative staff members A proactive approach to self-training, group training, new hire training, and software research/training
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in design, web and multimedia software and applications
  • Evaluate trends, assess new creative platforms and keep up to date with the latest marketing techniques
  • Responsible for creative development of all print, digital, collateral, video, motion graphics and content initiatives

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Graphic Design
• Ability to effectively communicate the creative vision, execution plan, and budgets while working in alignment with client requirements
• Work with Leadership & Client executives set project goals, deadlines, and budgets
• Strong portfolio showcasing strategic & conceptual thinking, visual design and storytelling
• Ability to conduct presentations and pitch creative concepts to clients
• Proven ability to create and develop marketing campaigns across multi-channels
• Excellent communication (verbal, written, visual)
• Experience with leading creative teams across various platforms: print, digital, motion graphics and video
• Ability to create thought-provoking work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Ability to think strategically and problem solve on the fly while being flexible to adjust quickly to changes and deliver on deadline
• Self-motivated and a strong desire to continually bring innovation to work and processes
• A strong work ethic and commitment to quality and efficiency
• Well versed in print, email marketing, mobile apps, digital ads, videos
• Knowledge of UI/UX design and principles
• Thorough understanding of graphic design, typography, photography, branding and visual storytelling
• Strong project management, prioritization, organizational, and multitasking skills • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, XD, After Effects) and Figma
• Mac platform Preferred Qualifications
• Successful experience in pitch settings with prospects and clients
• Built (hired & trained) a successful creative team

Years of Experience
8+ years of experience working with major Brands and/or Agencies on creative ideation, concepts, direction, leadership, and development.
