Job description

Our client is an independent creative agency that is seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Creative Resource Manager to lead project management, resourcing, and recruitment for the agency. The candidate should be passionate about creative, design, execution, and setting teams up for success. The candidate will direct and help coordinate the day-to-day agency resourcing needs.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with directors to assess resource needs, then contact and book resources
Proactively builds on a pre-existing network of contacts for freelance and hiring needs
Create, maintain and continually update database of agency internal and external resources
Ability to recognize internal creative needs and project risks
Reviews, evaluates, and vets all creative resources for the agency
Ability to match team members against projects
Manage and resolves resource booking conflicts
Manage resourcing forecast spreadsheets for all departments based on input from weekly meetings
Maintain constant knowledge of current and upcoming projects and business development activities as they relate to resourcing
Monitor day to day project activities and resourcing, identifying potential instances of underutilization and actively work with department leads to address and solve those issues
Recommend process improvements for resource management
Work to resolve any issues regarding under or over allocations of current staff members
Manage communication around shifting priorities with key stakeholders
Champion internal systems for higher productivity working
Drive projects to final stages of completion by keeping the team both on track and highly motivated
Manage Creative Director’s schedules
Run weekly resource meeting and facilitate resourcing issues / conflict resolution with appropriate department heads
Organize and review “new hire” and freelance paperwork
Track availability of all agency staff members
Assists with budgeting for new projects based on resourcing needs

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years agency experience in agency project management
Experience in evaluating resourcing needs
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Experience with brand development and creative development
Ability to work autonomously and work with leadership teams to shape project management
Must be a team player and self-starter with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking ability
Project management certifications are highly desirable
