Job description

Our global footwear and apparel client is hiring a Customer focused Order Intake Specialist on a 12 month contract that is likely to extend and could lead to fulltime opportunities. This position is eligible for benefits and sick time. In this role you will be asked to execute comp order requests for seasonal product used for seeding and other Marketing purposes across multiple constructs, segments and geographies. You will partner with the Brand Marketing Product Management COE to facilitate product needs for Marketing, which will strengthen our clients brand and shape our connection with consumers and athletes across the globe. Serving as a resource for Brand Marketing broadly, you will bring a customer-service attitude and approach to supporting their needs.

He or she will:

  • Contribute special expertise by understanding and leveraging ordering and inventory tools
  • Be of service to GBM & Geographies by ensuring delivery of the right product at the right time for Marketing needs
  • Help planning partners make good decisions by exploring solutions to streamline processes, save time and keep costs low
  • Be a thought partner to troubleshoot and escalate issues
  • Be familiar with enterprise-wide tools, systems and process evolution

Core capabilities for this role include:

  • Brand Management: Serve as a conduit between Product Management, Carriers, Distribution Centers and Facilities.
  • Operational Management: Support product deliveries, scheduling and planning and facilitate communications and systems management
  • Team Management: Engage with and contribute to the Product Management COE and our community for process improvement

RESPONSIBILITIES

Comp Ordering:

  • Intake, enter and process $2M/year in Global Brand Comp orders
  • Evaluate and align available inventory to orders using SAP
  • Identify and offer replacement products
  • Track Global comp numbers and report out usage rates
  • Deliver monthly Comp reports to Ops Directors
  • Develop and improve order intake process
  • Apply specialty labeling/packaging
  • Contribute to seeding distribution efforts when required
  • Provide backup support for the Comp team
  • Miscellaneous tasks related to order intake & order fulfillment

 Outbound Order Management:

  • Shipment tracking
  • Expedite requests
  • Remediation of open units
  • Process Returns
  • Troubleshoot errors
  • Communicate progress/delays

Program/Systems Support:

  • Identify and support training opportunities
  • Share training tools and helpful links 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in marketing, events, operations, sports marketing, merchandising, consumer services, or as a product buyer
  • Strong business acumen for brand, financial, resource and data management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • At least one year of experience using SAP for inventory/order tracking is required
  • Comp Portal experience a plus
  • Results-driven
  • Passion/expertise for sports products (footwear, apparel and equipment) and youth culture
