Our insurance client is hiring a Data Analyst on a 6 month contract that has the potential to extend. This is a remote opportunity, working PST hours.
Responsibilities:
• Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
• Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, and Python
• Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, data mining, and segmentation.
• Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analyzing
• Adept at using and analyzing data from Salesforce CRM
• Knowledge of data visualization systems like PowerBi, Tableau
• Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate analysis to datasets in order to find solutions
• Problem-solving skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations
• Team-working skills
• Verbal and Written communication skills
• Proven working experience in data analysis
Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics
• 3+ years experience as a data analyst
• Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
• Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
• Strong SQL or Excel skills with the ability to learn other analytic tools Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
• Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages including Excel, Power-Bi
• Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
