24 Seven is working with their outdoor lifestyle brand client in search for a Design Director-Footwear to join their team in this full-time, salaried role with competitive benefits. This person will need to go onsite in office in Portland, OR come 2023.Our client will pay for relocation if needed.
Under the leadership of Vice President of Product and in partnership with Design Innovation, this role serves as the authority for creativity overseeing design. The role requires a recognized expertise in Sports and Fitness footwear design with a considerable portfolio that demonstrates this expertise.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
1. As a coach/player, define and oversee footwear design and creative process, from concept through product confirmation
2. Create and execute the long-term strategic product design direction for the brand.
3. Apply market research, trend and consumer insights, and knowledge to interpret product briefs from the product team to select materials, and actively creates and presents new innovative concepts
4. Develop, motivate, mentor, and retain top talent; engage the team in ways that will facilitate the achievement of our strategic objectives, as well as individual professional development plans

This role will partner with our Innovation Design team to build a compelling commercial line up of footwear that will propel people forward and inspire them to move. You will be part of a fast-growing brand that has ambitious plans.
This role will require a coach player mentality and the desire to collaborate with your triad partners to deliver the best product possible.
We are Highly motivated team, looking for a design leader and self-starter with the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, or master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years related design experience within the sports Industry for a performance brand
