Title: Design Project Manager

Location: Newark CA This position is for local candidates. Must be able to drive into the Newark, CA office on a regular basis

The Role: In this role the Design Project Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, prioritizing, allocating resources, and driving product development projects through the entire product development lifecycle, including Industrial Design / CMF/ UX/ Imagery, and Packaging Structure & Graphics.

In addition the candidate will need to bring leadership skills, a passion for process, the ability to create and execute to a detailed schedule, and the skill set to collaborate within global cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with teammates and other project managers to ensure your projects are flawlessly delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-brief Create and track project schedules, budget, and resources using our internal Workfront project management software tool

Coordinate the allocation of project resources with functional managers including: Industrial Design CMF Design Consumer Insight UX Packaging Structure and Graphics Anticipate bottlenecks and explore contingencies for potential issues Anticipate bottlenecks and explore contingencies for potential issues Consolidate, communicate, and drive issue resolutions to closure Maintain weekly dashboards to track program status with Business Group and Design stakeholders Schedule project kick-off meetings/reviews with stakeholders Publishing meeting minutes, action item logs, and updated schedules to track project status Provide functional expertise to assess potential schedule risks and operational impact Process and drive external vendor SOWs to closure via internal contract tool in partnership with Design Lead and Legal Partners Undertake general administrative project tasks including status updates, processing PO’s and maintaining financial trackers

Education: BA/BS from accredited university/college or commensurate job experience as a project manager

-Demonstrated history of successfully managing projects in a matrixed organization
