Job description

Our client, a financial institution, is looking to bring on a fulltime Digital Advertising Specialist located in the Chicago area, starting immediately. 

This brand is in the midst of a significant digital transformation as they roll out new digital banking products that are competitive with those of the largest banks.  With this transformation comes great opportunity for digital savvy marketing leaders. The Marketing department is building agile, world class micro-teams and processes, structured with a modern mindset akin to that of a Fintech start up.

This specialist will focus on digital execution and optimization but also collaborate closely with the content, analytics and account teams on integrated digital marketing campaigns. The right candidate will be able to directly influence digital advertising direction and strategy. Join the team as they work to perfect all digital touchpoints yet remain local and community focused.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead execution for SEM (80%). Assist with display including retargeting (15%) and paid social (5%) operations.

  • Keyword planning and defining applicable ad groups for all keyword types.

  • Implementation of B2B and B2C bid strategies.  Using industry best practices of bid management.

  • Responsible for following asset quality assurance process.

  • Collaborate with internal team members and vendor partners to:

    • Analyze and understand digital ad campaign performance.

    • Revise and optimize campaigns based on findings in ROAS and attribution reporting.

    • Make recommendations for strategic investment.

  • Work with IT for applicable conversion and retargeting tags.

  • Maintain excellent logs including campaign budget, annotation, change-control, break-fix, assets and performance.

  • Assist VP, Digital Marketing with paid media campaign strategy and budgeting.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or quantitative field of study (Mathematics, Statistics, etc.).

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing.

  • Google Ads certified. Search required. Display preferred.

  • Experience managing paid media campaigns with an emphasis in SEM.

  • Has demonstrated proven success in digital marketing disciplines.

  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and SEO.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Collaborative attitude with the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Analytical and profit-driven are necessary personality traits.

  • Ability to think on ones feet, a passion for great design and optimistic attitude are crucial attributes.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel & PowerPoint.

  • Experience in YouTube advertising a plus.

  • Basic knowledge of website analytic tools like Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
