Job description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Digital Designer to join our growing team for the next six months! As our Digital Designer, you will work closely with our creative, eCommerce and marketing teams to ensure all websites and marketing collateral do an outstanding job of communicating our brands and products to our shoppers. You will get the chance to understand our customer and the business, collaborating with teammates and working independently to own and deliver Digital Design priorities and projects! This is a short term assignment planned to last through October, 2021. Our Digital Designer will report to our Art Director.
What you’ll do:
- Create website graphics and promos to help enhance the site Design online marketing materials, including email, PPC banners, Social Media campaigns, and other web graphic assets in accordance to brand guidelines
- Ensure the quality of final output meets graphic and web optimization standards
- Collaborate in brainstorming, concepting, and executing seasonal campaigns, and ensure visuals and messaging are consistent/accurate through the seasons
- Manage multiple priorities/projects under tight deadlines, working independently and/or with the design team
- Deliver strong quality design outputs in line with existing standards
- Be able to articulate design decisions What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Web/Graphic Design, or have equivalent work experience
- 2+ years experience in a design-related field
- An online portfolio (please specify which work was created 100% by you vs. by a team)
- Passion for design (typography, color and grid layouts)
- Knowledge of mobile design standards and familiarity with responsive design best practices
- Proficient in Sketch, Photoshop and Illustrator with the ability to produce organized files with sensible layer structures and naming
- Impeccable eye for detail and consistency
- Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to creative feedback and constructive criticism
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to have fun at work!
- Bonus (but not required) if you have: Experience in video creation and animation Knowledge of CSS and new standards such as HTML5/CSS3
- Knowledge of Print design Familiarity with InDesign, Trello and Google Web Designer
