Our client, a national corporate brand has an immediate need for a Digital Marketing Manager. This is a remote freelance position (40 hours a week) that has potential to go fulltime for the right candidate.
POSITION SUMMARY Manages the overall marketing communications, market research, and social strategy for our projects. Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing our digital marketing campaigns across all digital networks. Ensures the proper execution of the brand’s passion, integrity and community across all mediums. The Marketing Manager will effectively work with and provide service to internal and external customers; share information and solicit input. This position will forge consensus to reach goals; actively participate in immediate work group by suggesting, listening and commenting on possible solutions. Exudes strong organizational skills to manage and meet schedules and budgets. Performs other duties as assigned. IV. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Description % Digital Marketing Social Media • Create RFP and secure agency based on market/asset • Claim/secure all social handles (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) • Create + execute new business pursuit and redevelopment strategy (in partnership with BPR), ensuring in alignment with project storytelling narrative and vision • Identify, oversee and create RFP’s for local social agencies and consultants • Create and execute social media strategy, ensuring alignment with project/asset brand identify/storytelling/narrative • Manages calendar and reviews content for all projects through social agencies, ensuring that there is continuous content being developed and utilized for all social media activities • Oversees + manage agencies to ensure campaigns are completed on time and on budget Digital • Claim/secure all URL/domains (via GoDaddy with MF IT contact) • Work with Marketing director on naming/ trademarking related to URL domain claiming • Optimize website setup and online presence (not limited to): o Manage DNS setup o Setup DNS records o Claim and setup email accounts associated with website o Claim/ populate GMB for project and direct to website accordingly; ensure address correct with Google maps o Setup GTM for website o Setup Google Analytics for website • Identify, oversee and create RFP’s for local agencies and consultants (if needed) • Oversees + manages design/layout of thin and full websites, ensuring alignment with brand identity and storytelling/narrative and that they are completed on time and on budget • Partner with Development team on digital advertising needs per project: o Set-up/ ongoing management of SEO o Select and implement Google Ad Words o PPC campaign ideation and implementation o Ongoing tracking of Google analytics/ sharing reports • Ensure in compliance and up to date with any regulatory requirements for CCPA, Cookies, Privacy, etc. Email • Create e-mail lead nurture program to align with brand guidelines, project storytelling narrative and vision • Maintain an accurate and up to date email database • Create email templates as needed • Manage design, content and execution of all e-communications • If applicable, Anyone Home setup for pre-leasing soft lead generation Influencer Marketing • Identify and partner with influencers and bloggers to host and plan events 80 Brand Communications + Strategy Alignment • Identify overarching themes + campaigns for assets/projects to align with brand guidelines, project storytelling narrative and vision • Develop effective, cohesive, and engaging brand messaging that is in line with Brookfield Properties’ brand guidelines • Assess and maintain current strategy and propose recommendations for operational agency and local marketing teams • Provides regular reporting on all aspects digital marketing for each asset and BPD channels • Partner with all sectors on best practices to create consistency across platforms (i.e. web, digital analytics capture report, social etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business and/or Communications preferred, or related field • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing-related role • Strong knowledge of various marketing tactics - traditional and digital - to maximize ROI • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices • In-depth knowledge of digital best practices • Experience with planning, executing, and analyzing marketing strategies • Excellent computer skills and software knowledge desired (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Office; InDesign; Adobe) • Advanced working experience in SquareSpace, Wordpress and Adobe web • Experience with creatively solving problems with innovative solutions • Ability to draw from prior experiences to solve problems and may require some logical analysis of the issue • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines • Ability to multitask and work effectively with a variety of tasks and colleagues (both internal and external) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff, as well as vendors and customers
