24 Seven is partnering with a global lifestyle footwear brand to find them a Director, Global Product Merchandising in a full-time, salaried role with competitive benefits. Our client will pay for relocation if needed as they are asking this person to work onsite in a hybrid model. 

The Director of Product Merchandising will directly lead the Women’s Product Merchandising team and will also partner closely with Design, Marketing, Product Development, Planning and Omnichannel counterparts across the globe. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
Product & Merchandising Strategy
•  Leads Product Line Architecture, drives Product Line Plan, drives Classification Excellence and is the pivot between creation and marketplace adopt teams to receive and provide inputs throughout the briefing process
•   Drive optimal SKU efficiency and profitability
•   Tailor and optimize product initiatives to target the new consumers, enter attractive categories, and penetrate valuable new channels
•  Drive efforts to improve product innovation, competitiveness, and efficiency to achieve topline growth and improve product profitability on a global level
•  Leverage Omni-channel and global competitive insights to identify key trends, understand shifts in market direction, and inform product decisions that maximize commercial opportunities
•  Support international expansion with ad hoc product initiatives; collaborate with regional merchandising Teams to make sure all regional needs are represented in the main line
•  Creating solves for macro marketplace evolutions by geography
•  Make logical enterprise decisions with relevant partners and foster cross Consumer Construct alignment where necessary

•   Coach the team to become Product Merchandising experts leading with data driven insights, building financial plans that reflect the opportunity and engaging cross functional stakeholders to deliver the plans in a structured and systematic way. 
•  Instill and reinforce the highest standards for collaboration and teamwork and across the brand's portfolio, with the goals of identifying synergies, fostering idea sharing, leveraging consumer insights, and establishing common goals for profitable growth and continuous innovation.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education/Certifications:
•  Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination education/experience.
Work Experience:
•  10+ years similar experience in a combination of 2 or more of the following areas: global category management, merchandising, product management, category marketing, product design, etc., including at least 5+ years in senior management function over a team of 4+ employees. 
•  Demonstrated experience creating brand and category strategies for a global audience with multiple distribution channels 
•  Exceptional understanding of product category and industry competitive landscape and Omnichannel retail environment, with excellent knowledge of the global footwear industry and its consumers.

Skills/Competencies:
• Expertise in merchandising and retail math, ability to mentor and teach.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and/or adhering to product KPI and ROI guidelines, including expert understanding of merchandising, financial metrics, ROI, sales, product line data and ability to interpret detailed analysis of global seasonal sell-in and sell-through information, consumer insights, market research, trends analysis, etc.
•  Great balance of analytical skills and product skills; financial acumen is required.
•  Experience developing solutions, long-term strategic plans, and creative strategies/briefs aligned with long term global organization and category goals.
• Good understanding of evolving marketing and product platforms, technology, and tools, including integrated digital platforms and channels.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•  Experience integrating multiple departments in a matrix organization to achieve results.
•  Strong presentation skills at the senior level, with experience influencing and motivating senior level audiences (sales meetings, key accounts, internal teams, etc.)
•  Able to champion & develop innovative principles & concepts to affect change.
•  Working experience shaping and developing highly motivated and effective teams.
