In 2020, our client's online business grew over 700% YoY, almost entirely organically, and was featured on the cover of Entrepreneur's Startups magazine as an example of growth during a crisis. You'll make sure that was just a starting point.

Our client is looking for an A+ senior level Director to head the eCommerce online ecosystem, including DTC and Amazon. You'll lead the online sales channel, responsible for driving several million in revenue by growing new customers, repeat sales, and lifetime value of online customers. You’ll report to the CEO and own the online P&L, responsible for both revenue and expenses. You'll be a player-coach, working with a best-in-class team to grow the online business. This is a hands-on role, and you will get your hands dirty. You live and breathe DTC (and Shopify), you've sold a fast moving consumer good online before, and this is not your first rodeo managing a large, growing online business. Core duties and responsibilities:

Own budget, results, and planning for all online sales channels, continuously monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting sales performance to achieve sales and profitability goals

Lead, manage, and develop eCommerce growth and retention teams

Lead both long-term growth plan and day-over-day online operations/optimizations

Manage best-in-class external agencies

Partner with Operations and Finance to maintain operational excellence and stick to budget

Strategy Refine and execute the eCommerce Content Calendar, with an emphasis on email, by collaborating with marketing partners to ensure alignment across all channels

Increase LTV:CAC by driving high-performing prospecting creative and increasing purchase frequency through loyalty rewards programs/well planned communication via email, SMS, paid ads, direct mail and social

Maintain current knowledge of the ever-evolving CPG landscape Analysis

Own the analytics process to drive data-informed decisions, taking complex numbers and communicating results on key drivers in an accessible and actionable way

Drive testing strategy in every step of the funnel, finding opportunities for growth, and managing testing program spanning channels, creatives, and site/offer optimizations

Monitor and grow key eCommerce KPIs, e.g., LTV:CAC, Net Subscriber Growth, NPS

Job requirements

5+ years proven track record of scaling eCommerce businesses in multi-channel environments, preferably in food & beverage or CPG on Shopify

Previous ownership of P&L and management of at least 6-figure monthly budgets

Experience planning/forecasting growth marketing performance and delivering against ecommerce KPIs (LTV, CAC, spend, retention, etc)

Experience managing Amazon or other e-tailers like Thrive Market

Experience hiring, developing, and managing a remote team

Strong analytical experience gleaning actionable insight from data

Prior work in a startup environment, with its fast pace, shifting priorities and fluid nature

A passion for fitness, health, and wellness

Willing and able to work unconventional hours (e.g., late nights, weekends)

US Military veteran status is a major plus
