Job Summary:

The Director of Global PR, Influencers and Partnerships is a global role within the organization and will be responsible for developing the brand's PR, Influencer and Partnerships strategy. This person will be a key figure in driving brand equity and reenergizing the brand by placing the brand in clean, relevant conversations and helping to restore our place in beauty across makeup and skincare.

The ideal candidate for this role must be a skillful communicator who excels in in a fast-paced, creative environment with a strong history of conceptualized and executed earned media programs that resulted in increased brand awareness, social buzz and drove consumer interest. This person will work closely with global and international teams with a specific focus on the US market. Exceptional relationships with media, celebrity agents and influencers necessary to drive opportunities for paid and earned activations necessary. They will manage 3 direct reports and oversee an external US PR agency.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develops and drives (as key strategic lead) external communication strategies to fuel brand equity across the product portfolio and drive overall brand messaging through PR, influencer relations and partnerships across the globe, with a specific focus on the US market

• Manages all initiatives surrounding global influencer strategy ensuring global relevance from ideation to implementation

• Sets precedent and delivers game-changing programs and events (in collaboration with Events team)

• Drives strategic partnerships of scale to maximize brand awareness and influence

• Oversees community-building efforts externally and internally leading to creation of content to drive effective and tangible business results

• Create global brand codes and guidelines for local market PR, influencer and partnership programs

• Work in partnerships with cross-functional teams across the organization to identify, build and execute 360 programs that will help increase the brand’s visibility across the industry

• Provide counsel and support to international markets to ensure global consistency

• Support development of all global PR tools including press materials, event guidelines, global recap presentations and global KPI objectives

• Partner with regional PR teams and US PR agency to brainstorm and strategize ideas to strengthen overall brand equity

 

Qualifications & Competencies:

 

• BS/BA required, Communications degree preferred

• 7-10 years of influencer marketing and communications experience; beauty and fashion industry experience a plus

• Proven experience in creating and executing successful consumer-driven PR and influencer campaigns with a proven track record of executing digital communication strategies and tracking ROI analysis as a result

• MUST have solid relationships with digital influencers, beauty vloggers and bloggers, fashion tastemakers, digital editors, key media players and channel-specific social influencers within beauty, fashion, and lifestyle

• Must have a good handle on current trending influencers and pop culture

• Experience managing and negotiating with external partners (Agents, talent, vendors)

• Adept in creative problem-solving, extremely resourceful and proactive

• Team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills - a self-described “people-person,” comfortable speaking with all levels of an organization; Ability to delegate efficiently and maintain executive presence

• Strong planning, project management, and organizational skills in order to be proactive to the ever-changing needs of social and digital media; well-versed in the dynamic digital landscape

• Experience working within a global scope

• Excellent writing, presentation and communications skills

• Comfortable project managing multiple projects simultaneously, and can be relied upon to ensure that projects are completed in an appropriate and timely manner

• Support crisis and issues communications, including conducting research necessary to analyze media-related issues and assisting in media response as needed
