Role Overview:

The Director of International Retail Strategy will manage all aspects of the business related to his/her retail channel. This includes Retail Marketing, Account Management, and oversight of account planning.

 

Responsibilities:

Retail Marketing

• Develop account-specific goals and strategies and align the organization around them

• Work with cross-functional teams to create extensive 360 retail marketing plans for all key launches

• Collaborate with brand marketing and product development teams to identify white space and ideate on product opportunities

• Leverage all marketing, content, social, and creative assets for sales maximization

• Manage creative process collaborating early on with account to ensure brand/account alignment

• Responsible for yearly sampling strategy and procurement

• Conduct competitive and consumer data analysis leveraging learnings to impact marketing tactics and go to market strategies

Account Management

• Build Strong Relationships with Retailer and serve as the key point of contact

• Manage communication with merchant and marketing teams collaborating on visual merchandising, promotional strategies, retailer support plans, and dotcom activity

• Analyze business on an ongoing basis and provide weekly sales analysis updates internally and to the field

• Ongoing negotiations with an account on inventory and support activity

• Inventory management: Partner on OTB/RTV/WOS position

Planning

• Oversee coordinator on all administrative planning activity

• Manage relationships with account planners and serve as the key point of contact

• Communicate to retailer planners all merchandising/marketing/assortment plans that impact stock

• Build bottom-up retail and shipments forecast by account and track progress towards a plan on an ongoing basis

• Completing and updating all administrative forms/systems

• Manage retailer assortment files and reconcile against an assortment

• Manage execution/shipping of all sampling programs

 

Requirements:

• Experience working with one or more of the following retailers preferred: Mecca, Cult Beauty, Douglas, Amazon, QVC, Target, Sephora

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years experience in retail sales management

• Willing and able to travel overnight
