Job description

Our client, a global media agency and leader in Retail Media, is seeking a Director of Retail Media to join the team.

Director of Retail Media Responsibilities:

  • Craft eCommerce retail media strategy and role of media in the path to purchase 
  • Create the high-level ecommerce media sciences plans as well as retail media plans and attribution models.
  • Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications within digital environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge to campaign strategy and client goals
  • Help create data informed intellectual property of both media and shopping metrics across each of the platforms
  • Build cross-channel analytics and insights offerings
  • Develop KPIs and reporting methodologies / approaches that match back to campaign and brand goals and to communicate that based on client needs
  • Monitor and report on media campaigns on an ongoing basis, providing an active voice communicating optimization opportunities and challenges to internal teams, media partners and the client
  • Determining set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of each initiative

Director of Retail Media Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills are required, including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable recommendations and their forecasted outcomes/implications.
  • Thought leadership on all aspects of eCommerce and digital media strategy and media measurement
  • Expert in negotiating and constructing digital media plans, with understanding of planning, buying and activation
  • Strong understanding in eRetailer (Walmart, Target, Kroger), marketplaces (Amazon, Instacart) and retailer media (Criteo, Ibotta)
  • Strong knowledge of DoubleClick/DART, MediaMind, Omniture and Google Analytics •
  • Working knowledge of eCommerce measurement approaches as well as understanding of role of multi-touch attribution in media evaluation
