Director of Supply Chain and Operations
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee and continually improve, capacity planning, production control and physical inventory control to optimize business opportunities in all channels.
Partner cross functionally to lead a highly functional S&OP process.
Develop and manage profitable, productive relationships with complex network of suppliers and vendors.
Lead and set the vision for quality control, continuous improvement, and lean productivity initiatives.
Develop strategies for margin control, cost containment, and management of rising costs including product costing tools to consistently achieve or exceed targeted gross margin goals.
Act as key interface for parent company shared services including distribution/logistics, IT and systems.
Work closely with Product Development, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to align with the business objectives and exceeding goals.
Select, lead, mentor, develop and manage energized, high performing talent and teams, while maintaining an environment that promotes employee engagement, camaraderie, and teamwork.
Monitors actual trends against budgeted demand / forecast performance with Marketing team to optimize supply chain performance and responsiveness.
Ensures responsiveness in the supply chain to meet customer requirements, while maintaining a cost position and optimal inventory investments.
Plans inventory strategies for new product introductions and end of life programs to achieve program targets and minimize write-off impact.
Provides leadership for the implementation of IT solutions to ensure the tools meet planning needs and objectives.
Ensures these tools and necessary training are evaluated and provided on an ‘as-needed’ basis to support any future state requirements.
Directly manages, coaches, and develops the planning & the Operations teams. Responsible for the development, monitoring and adherence to departmental budgets for all areas of responsibility (excess / reserves budgetary inputs)
Revamp the Operational Cycle from inbound logistics to fulfillment & Outbound logistics.

In-depth knowledge of planning, scheduling, inventory management, demand optimization and forecasting methodologies across multiple business models.
Strong working knowledge of ERP, purchasing, material planning and inventory control systems and how they enable supply chain performance.
Proven background in operating in a formal sales and operation planning (S&OP) environment.
Ability to work effectively across a matrix organization, facilitate cross-functional teams and influence change Ability to work on several projects simultaneously. Ability to build and maintain a high-performance, scalable team. Background in managing in an environment that includes international contract manufacturing and multiple global distribution centers.
Leadership experience in all facets of Operations, including planning, purchasing, production, sourcing and supply chain, inventory management and logistics.
Proven ability to frame a strategy, then dive in to drive and support hands-on execution through to the business results.
Results-driven leader, prioritizing and sets expectations accordingly.
Transparent in communicating goals and challenges.
Holds self and team accountable to the organization.
Proven team building experience with ability to attract, develop and retain a high performing team, creating a world-class Operations organization.
