Client Overview

Our client is a high-end lifestyle brand in Los Angeles looking to bring on an E-Commerce Manager to their growing team!  You will manage all aspects including business planning, content strategy- and development, promotional campaigns, website design, customer service and web analytics, together with web development functions and our media agency.

Role is based in Los Angeles, CA.  Onsite worked required.

E-Commerce Manager Overview

The E-Commerce Manager should have at least 5 years B2C e-commerce experience, with at least 3 years of senior experience as the lead decisionmaker in an ecommerce business with greater than $3m annual revenue. The ideal candidate is a problem solver and is a self-starter who is comfortable with taking initiative. A general understanding of how digital marketing intertwines with eComm strategy seen to CAC, CLV, AOV and Conversion Rate is required. However, work will be in close collaboration with Director of E-Commerce & Marketing.

The E-Commerce Manager is a business head who reports directly to the management team.

 Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact within the eCommerce organization for cross functional partners acting as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement and test eCom initiatives. Should have experience managing code development projects and integrations, ideally in primarily Magento and ideally also Shopify ecosystem.
  • Participate in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team supporting the eCommerce strategy.
  • Manage advertising specialists, either in-house or through an agency. Should have understanding of Facebook and Google ad platforms.
  • Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns.
  • Develop and oversee the effective planning, QA and execution of content across the websites and online marketing campaigns to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of all web content publishing.
  • Manage all aspects of web analytics related to eCommerce and communicate relevant information to team members, executive leadership and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • 5 + years e-commerce management experience in retail business environment
  • Keen understanding of retail and e-commerce sales operations and activities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal leadership and relationship management skills, with the ability to lead/collaborate with direct reports and cross-functional team
  • Deep experience in following areas web merchandising, consumer insight, customer service, digital marketing, analytics, order fulfillment, distribution/shipping.
  • Ability to project manage with 3rd party vendors to ensure general operations of the website
  • Advanced understanding of e-commerce technical operations and web-based retail platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to hire and retain top talent, creating successful teams
  • Proven ability to effectively think through complex issues and creatively problem solve
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, honesty and integrity every day
  • Dynamic work ethic including effective time management
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative or team setting
