Our client is a modern and chic lifestyle and furnishings brand in Los Angeles looking to bring on an E-Commerce Manager to their growing team!

Role is based in Los Angeles, CA and they are open to a hybrid schedule with remote and 1-2 days onsite.

E-Commerce Manager Overview

As the E-Commerce Manager you will be responsible for collaborating with cross functional teams and leading the strategy and growth of the e-commerce business plan to exceed annual sales targets and increase conversion and repeat visits.  You will manage all aspects of the E-Commerce business including, business planning, content strategy and development, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, website design, customer service, web analytics and web technologies. 

The E-Commerce  Manager should have at least 5 years B2C e-commerce experience, with at least 3 years of senior experience as the lead decisionmaker in an ecommerce business.  The ideal candidate is a problem solver and a self-starter who is comfortable with taking initiatives. The job requires rolling up your sleeves and getting into the detail.

E-Commerce Manager Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact within the eCommerce organization for cross functional partners acting as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement and test eCommerce initiatives. Should have experience managing code development projects and integrations, ideally in the Shopify ecosystem.
  • Participate in the development and execution of strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team supporting the eCommerce strategy
  • Manage performance advertising specialists, either in-house or through an agency. Should have advanced client understanding of Facebook and Google.
  • Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns
  • Develop and oversee the effective planning, QA and execution of content across the websites and online marketing campaigns to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of all web content publishing
  • Manage all aspects of web analytics related to eCommerce
  • Proven leadership of large eCommerce projects
  • Extensive knowledge of e-commerce technology and sophisticated analytics
  • Generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase eCommerce sales and profitability
  • Provide expertise on current eCommerce industry best practices. Consult on cross-functional projects to ensure eCommerce principles are incorporated
  • Identify new areas of eCommerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives


  • 5 + years e-commerce management experience in retail business environment
  • Keen understanding of retail and e-commerce sales operations and activities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal leadership and relationship management skills, with the ability to lead/collaborate with direct reports and cross-functional team
  • Strong Shopify+ experience.  Magento in addition is a plus!
  • Deep experience in following areas web merchandising, consumer insight, customer service, digital marketing, analytics, order fulfillment, distribution/shipping.
  • Advanced understanding of e-commerce technical operations and web-based retail platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to hire and retain top talent, creating successful teams
  • Proven ability to effectively think through complex issues and creatively problem solve
