Client Overview:

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented E-Commerce Specialist to assist in executing a great digital buying experience.

The key here: 

We need someone with more background in traffic acquisition - google ads, social advertising, affiliate marketing, etc.  We're focused on growth initiatives so we need someone that understands how to put customers into a sales funnel from cold traffic to on-site conversion.

E-Commerce Specialist Overview:

As the E-Commerce Specialist, you will be responsible assisting the rest of the e-commerce team leading the strategy and growth of the e-commerce business plan to exceed annual sales targets and increase conversion and repeat visits. This position is focused on developing strategies to drive revenue and optimize the customer experience through data-driven analysis.

 

E-Commerce Specialist Responsibilities

· Develop operational e-commerce strategies and execute on all initiatives including short and long-term objectives, customer metrics and overall performance

· Leverage data to identify, analyze and report on trends and patterns and use this data to optimize the website, apps, and other digital e-commerce spaces

· Partner with marketing and graphics teams on e-mail marketing strategy and calendar, while driving deployment, segmentation, and A/B testing plans

· Regularly analyze web analytics and business performance for opportunities to maximize digital sales and client engagement/retention

· Manage and present tasks required to maintain the site including promotions, site content updates, merchandising, product setup and A/B testing ensuring that functionality meets and exceeds company expectations

· Review the site daily with a customer-first mindset; reacting to current business and trends to drive conversion using Google Analytics metrics and inventory reports

· Evaluate issues and effectively communicate technical and non-technical solutions to peers and customers in a timely manner

· Ensure all aspects of site merchandising are on brand, employ best practices, and hit defined KPI's

· Work with Digital Marketing to provide linking strategies that provide the fast path to product and conversion

· Communicate with Operations, Sales, and Customer Service teams with regards to site, product, and promotion updates

· Conduct ongoing competitive and benchmark analysis. Monitor industry benchmarks, trends and best practices

 

E-Commerce Specialist Qualifications

·  1-3 years proven experience in eCommerce, buying, account management, product management, category management, consulting, analytics, finance or marketing

· Extensive knowledge of online marketing, e-commerce, social media, email marketing, content marketing and content creation

· Strong understanding of SEO/PPC, eCommerce buying journey and metrics, Shopify, Google Ad words and Tableau

· A strategic thinker and digital innovator

· Detail-oriented, organized, and self-starting individual

· MS Office Software proficiency

· Highly proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills to inform digital growth and conversion strategies

· Experience working with agency preferred
