Leading action/ lifestyle brand in Costa Mesa is currently looking for a Fit Tech to join their team! The details of the role are below.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Maintain calendar deadlines from first package out date through size run.

Obtain all details of style proportion and interpret into graded spec. Advise designer/developer of additional detail sketches required to help facilitate proper style development.

Work with the designer at fittings to ensure the garments fit according to the brands standards and the designer’s wishes. Provide helpful, constructive and encouraging feedback to designer regarding fit options.

Clearly communicate fit corrections to vendors using sketches, photos, and very simple worded instructions, making sure that spec measurements provided do not conflict with one another, or actual pattern corrections as necessary. Multiple fit iterations should be minimized!

Communicate construction requirements and appropriate inner construction materials needed to ensure proper quality and fit of apparel to product manager as needed.

Advise product manager of any potential quality issues through development so corrections can be made before production begins.

Manage the block library for assigned categories and update as necessary. Store approved blocks on the brands server.

Manage the grading for assigned categories consistency in fit among the brands products in each size range.

Answer all e-mails from design, product team and vendors on the same day they are received.

Complete all vendor fit comments in a timely manner. Follow timeline established by product manager and work efficiently completing 4-10 comments per day depending on product mix.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Degree in Fashion Design/Patternmaking plus combined with industry experience.

3-5 years’ experience in women’s knits and woven sportswear and dresses.

Extensive pattern-making skills on a CAD system are required, Lectra or Optitex is preferred.

Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop Illustrator

Complete knowledge of grade rules for multiple categories.

knowledge of garment production sewing.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient at computer sketching.

Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.

Must be very detail oriented, accurate and yet creative.

Must get along with others well.
