*ON SITE IN NYC
Role Overview: Responsible for creating commercially viable graphic designs for a mid-high-volume category/collection. Researches and interprets fashion trends and consumer needs that uphold the integrity of the product lines/brand. Ensures graphics are commercialized with the factories that meet designs aesthetic vision within price parameters, sourcing strategy, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
Graphic Designer Responsibilities:
- Create brand-right, commercial graphic designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy.
- Execute all graphic spec packs to ensure they are valid and viable for each region while preserving design aesthetic and meeting business objectives of speed, scalability and margin.
- Drive/Support innovation in graphic techniques seasonally. Identifies roadblocks and creates action plan to address
- Expert in brand positioning and direct the use of graphic assets, reviewing opportunities and successes with trend relevance.
- Actively leverage resources in sourcing new ideas, both internally and externally and contribute to ongoing competitor research/trend analysis.
- Conduct competitive and aspirational shopping
Graphic Designer Qualifications:
- College degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years graphic design experience in a related field (product graphics preferred).
- Exceptional graphic design ability with a proven history of commercially successful graphics.
- Knowledge of product development processes and calendars
- Ensure cross functional communication is appropriate and timely in order to avoid delivery, price, or quality issues.
- Excellent computer skills - Adobe CS Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign Microsoft Office. Some knowledge of Web PDM or FLEX PLM
