Freelance Junior Developer Overview:
Our client is seeking a junior-level Developer that is highly design-oriented to help code emails and other digital assets. This role's time will be tasked with developing creative to drive subscription acquisition, revenue, engagement, and retention. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, able to pivot and adapt between cross functional teams, HTML/CSS proficient, with a focus on email, and have an elevated taste level.
Junior Developer Responsibilities:
• Create production-ready assets upon design approval, including coded emails and on-site units (using a combination of Company tools and raw HTML)
• Develop responsively-designed assets with a mobile-first approach
• Make changes to design files and digital assets when needed based on structural and copy copy changes and updates
• QA and troubleshoot all digital assets to ensure consistent rendering across devices and platforms
• Be solution-oriented and proactively seek alternative ways to ensure assets are aligned with best practices and marketing objectives
Junior Developer Qualifications:
• Minimum 1-2 years of email/web production in publishing, advertising, and/or retail organization with an understanding of driving engagement and consumer revenue
• Ability to recognize and apply each brand’s voice, tone, and visual identity to assets, and ensure quality and consistency across all creative elements
• Fluency in HTML, CSS and ability to code templates from scratch required
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Sketch
• Ability to troubleshoot and QA emails using Email on Acid or Litmus
• Experience with ADA-compliant design/coding required
• Experience with ESPs (such as Sailthru)
• Ability to quickly learn and navigate several internal processes, procedures and systems
