Apparel Graphic Designer- Contemporary Brand
Our client, a women’s Contemporary company known for cutting edge embroidery designs and printed boho chic apparel seeking a graphic designer to join design team.
*Initially (first 3 months) would be in office (LA) and then partial remote.
Responsibilies & Duties:
• Create Art & designs that fulfill brands needs
• Manipulate and finalize embroidery designs
• Created color story and select thread colors for embroidery designs
• Build complete tech packs on PLM that specify color, size, placement of final art/designs
• Responsible for supporting the design team by creating graphic, sketching CADs, print, pattern and embroideries from concept through production.
• Design, recreate, manipulate and recolor prints and graphic art using Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Assist in executing concepts with the designer utilizing critical attention to detail and a sense of urgency to meet all department deadlines.
• Responsible for production ready art files and communicating between teams to ensure factories receive all necessary information.

• Prepare for meetings, organize programs and execute materials for internal and external partners.
• Create/design and format materials for various departments
• Facilitate, advance and collaborate in production and layout activities
• Consult and work closely with various teams to collaborate and execute projects
• Maintain library of fabrics, trims, and material details
• Communicate with overseas vendors
• Understand and work with Design Team from a technical perspective
Skill-Set Requirements:
• Minimum AA Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience in the fashion industry
• Expert level with Adobe Illustrator on Mac
• Expert level with Adobe Photoshop on Mac
• Able to work on Excel and Word
• Strong experience with Tech Packs
• Strong CAD/Flats sketching abilities
• Comfortable manipulating and/or finalizing designs
• Strong with color and layout
• Working knowledge of fabric printing, garment embellishment and embroidery techniques
• Garment construction and textiles knowledge
• Good organizational skills, time management, problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detailed oriented and multi-tasking abilities
• Artistic hand, strong sense of color and style
• Strong critical thinking and exercise swift problem solving skills
• Demonstrate strong verbal, organization and written communication skills
