Group Director, Global Client Advice & Management 

Our client is looking for a Group Director, Global CAM, who will be part of the Global Leadership team, responsible for helping to manage the continued successful global partnership with Amazon.

Highly strategic, collaborative, articulate and innovative in their approach to communications solutions, the GD will be primarily responsible for establishing the most efficient and effective ways of working globally, to ensure productive and positive client and internal relationships. Building trust quickly, through curiosity and active listening, the GD will seek out client challenges and actively work to problem solve for those challenges.

They will be expert in the client’s business. And they will be the go-to lead for global clients. They will enact new process, operations, and ways of working that better leverage data and automation to streamline and reduce work and increase effectiveness and cohesiveness globally. They will work with countries around the globe to promote shared learnings, high quality of work, and consistency.


Group Director, Global Client Advice & Management Responsibilities:

• Maintain expert knowledge of and point of view on business and industry
• Understand client needs and motivations, earning the role of trusted partner
• Motivate by creating a positive and collaborative team environment, effectively manages through difficult situations, acts as an agent for change when necessary
• Build and drives cross functional team success, fostering collaborative relationships with client, agency, and SBU partners. Most importantly, can build consensus and community across cultures
• Challenge and pushes both the client and our internal agency teams to innovate, test and learn in new and emerging areas of discipline
• Seek out innovative ways to meet complex and challenging needs of the client; acts as a problem-solver with a growth mindset
• Exhibit excellent commercial acumen skills and full understanding of the contractual relationship, supporting local country teams and clients
• Strong operational leader, able to optimize existing ways of working or develop and roll out new ways of working that reduce team workload and/or increase effectiveness
• Collaborate with Transformation and Data Tech & Tools teams to initiate automation programs and tech solutions that promote the above
• Responsible for overseeing client relationship, including measurement mechanisms such as TRR
• Responsible for local market governance, ensuring local markets are aware of and adhering to established global standards (operations, data, commercials, etc.). Concurrently, responsible for working closely with local markets to ensure global standards meet their needs and problem solving where needed
• Oversee local market expansion, ensuring appropriate resource model, ways of working, global support, and new client relationships
• Manage core Global Hub team, motivating and inspiring team to do their best work and providing opportunities for continued growth 
• Client satisfaction as measured by TRR, Service & Tenets evaluation, and growth
• Global and local team satisfaction as measured by NPS, retention/turnover
• Strong collaboration with local teams, as well as Initiative and SBU teams
• Commercial performance
• Development of new & optimized processes, streamlining measures, and new resource models
• Initiation of automation and tech solutions and impact on team workload
• Smooth onboarding of new markets


Group Director, Global Client Advice & Management Qualifications:

• Ideally 12+ years’ experience in Media planning
• 8+ years’ experience in leading, managing and developing a multi-dimensional staff
• Ideally some level of global experience, but will consider transferrable skills
• Strong leader who is positive, motivating, and inspirational in a team environment
• Ability to think big: interrogate the way the team works and initiate and champion programs that drive improvement for the long term
• Paired with the knowledge of when to dive deep and immerse themselves in the client business or team ways of working to solve problems
• Strong commercial acumen
• Operationally excellent. Able to create clear purpose, drive high performance culture, and build capability at all levels with proven experience of how to deliver through and with others to ensure smooth process and executional excellence
• An exceptional presenter. Confident, persuasive, and collaborative communicator, with strong written and presentation skills
• A strong partner and proven collaborator. Can navigate and influence across structures and cultures, both internally and externally, and manage significant stakeholders and key industry relationships
• Adept at building productive client relationships
• Engaged in the relentless pursuit of better ways of working
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly
• Ability to drive projects from conception to completion; project management experience
• Can think differently: creative and adaptive, entrepreneurial, deeply immersed in cultural understanding
