They are looking for a Group Director, Retail Media to join their team.


Group Director, Retail Media Overview:

As Group Director, Retail Media, you will lead media and data strategy across retail media and ensure the company is at the forefront of the ecommerce industry in ensuring client success.


The ideal candidate for Group Director, Retail Media will be a self-motivated and quick-thinking individual who has a strong understanding of the ecommerce landscape and retail media. The Group Director, Retail Media will collaborate with internal teams and deliver best-in-class media strategy, data analytics, and attribution.


The role of Group Director, Retail Media will report the VP of Ecommerce Products & Services.


Group Director, Retail Media Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute media strategy for client projects including high-level ecommerce media sciences plans, retail media plans, and attribution models.
  • Stay updated on trends, tools, opportunities, and applications for digital environments and leverage company’s planning, evaluation and buying tools to develop campaign strategy and achieve client goals.
  • Lead kickoff meetings for brainstorming and oversee negotiating, buying, optimizing, reporting, and operationalizing media buys.
  • Assist in the creation of data driven intellectual property across platforms for media and shopping metrics.
  • Develop the company’s analytical infrastructure and measurement guidance for existing clients and new business pitches.
  • Build cross-channel analytics and insights to target client specific solutions and drive campaign performance.
  • Develop reporting processes and KPIs based on client needs.
  • Manage client expectations through various engagements and deliver analysis on internal and external client constituents.
  • Create reports on media campaigns and update internal teams, media partners, and clients on optimization opportunities and challenges.
  • Analyze partner ad verification and ad server data and present conclusions to team.
  • Establish testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements for impact and efficiency.
  • Provide accurate data dashboards/ Excel trackers and draw data-based conclusions to support campaign performance and digital strategy.


Group Director, Retail Media Requirements:


  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of revenue generating analytics and media solutions for internal and external clients.
  • Expert experience developing strategic media recommendations and managing digital media account projects.
  • Expert in eRetailer (Walmart, Target, Kroger), marketplaces (Amazon, Instacart), and retailer media (Criteo, Ibotta).
  • Strong knowledge of DoubleClick/ DART, MediaMind, Omniture, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce measurement approaches and role of multi-touch attribution in media evaluation.
  • Extensive experience building customized multi-channel attribution models either internally built or leveraging leading platforms (VisualIQ, Adometry, Convertro, C3).
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Established relationships with qualitative digital metric companies preferred (Vizu, Dynamic Logic, ComScore, Dimestore, Symphony IRI).
  • Strong data analysis skills and thought leadership capabilities.
