Head of Marketing
Our client is an Electric Vehicle accessory start up, fully backed by a top VC. Candidate must be willing to go into the office 4x a week to start. Offices are located in El Segundo, CA.
Responsibilities
- Set product strategy and ensure that all stakeholders understand the vision and direction
- Work closely with the marketing team to make sure we are delivering a cohesive experience from social media to our website
- Direct our Data Analyst to create web analytics dashboards that will guide the organization in making business and design decisions
- Be a cross-functional leader, bringing the organization together to meet business goals
- Diligent at staying up to date on industry trends and best practices
- Develops strategic marketing plans that tracks and manages marketing spend to achieve growth and ROI goals.
- Create and maintain an active network of marketing partnerships to enable marketing execution
- Lead design strategy for the brand and set a new standard for simplicity that stands out and connects with culture.
- Inspire agency partners in thought leadership, strategic vision, and creative development.
- Act as brand champion and expert to provide creative leadership across departments.
- Lead strategic deployment of budget to deliver brand objectives and initiatives.

- Strong creative instincts with ability to deliver highly creative, content & messaging.
- Ability to clearly articulate trends, results & strategy based on data analysis and present appropriate adjustments to marketing plans accordingly.
- Expert visual storyteller for both internal and external audiences
- You have a sincere interest to connect with others and create meaningful partnerships.
- Ability to stay ahead of the curve, up to date, and have your finger on the pulse of latest industry trends and best practices.
- Previous experience working across varied time zones with a willingness to work flexible hours and travel
- High level of honesty and integrity with a strong work ethic and proactive thought leadership
- You have proven success in developing highly effective integrated strategies, driven by data with a natural understanding of our industry.
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with close attention to details
- Demonstrated problem-solver with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems with attention to detail
Education
- Masters preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience (preferred Greentech and/or start up experience)
- Direct leadership of marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal activations at global scale essential while delivering against clear and measurable KPIs
- You have proven success in developing highly effective integrated strategies, driven by data with a natural understanding of our industry.
