KEY OBJECTIVES

 

  • Define and implement wholesale sales strategies in collaboration with the CEO across the North American market
  • Drive execution of these sales strategies across the sales team, establish KPIs for performance and productivity, ensuring processes and metrics are in place to hit and exceed revenue and growth targets
  • Provide strategic direction, develop sales objectives, identify new market/channel opportunities, and develop strategies for them
  • Drive new business growth across white space and open territories
  • Identify and pursue prospective corporate account opportunities and maintain positive corporate account relationships while leading strategic planning for their expansion
  • Establish and maintain strong, trustworthy relationships with key customers and personally take on the responsibility for building new major account relationships, seeking out new business opportunities, and networking regularly
  • Play an active part in the sales processes of your team, providing them with ongoing support and training, leveraging best practices in sales skill training to support their professional growth
  • Communicate clearly and respond to clients and colleagues in a timely and professional manor
  • Foster a success-oriented culture and serve as a role model for sales staff in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits
  • Collaborate with other departments (Education, Marketing, Finance, Operations) to empower the success of initiatives
  • Report on weekly and monthly sales forecasts and budget to CEO, driving forecast accuracy and pipeline tracking within the team
  • Maintain high level of industry knowledge, best practices and developments within our target markets and analyze trends and data to make recommendations for improving results
  • Identify resource needs in collaboration with CEO, and develop business cases to support the changes required to support business growth
  • Ensure a strong working knowledge of our full product portfolio and ability to clearly promote our products’ value
  • Manage other sales-related projects as needed

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • 10-15 years of experience in a senior/executive sales leadership role with a proven track record of growth.
  • Existing senior relationships with either Ulta and / or Sephora in the US is a must combined with expertise at growing a brand at one or both retailers in brick and mortar and e-retail
  • Experience in a wholesale professional skincare organization.
  • Proven track record in scaling and growing businesses.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including motivating others, providing feedback, utilizing different approaches depending on the situation and employee.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching sales representatives strongly preferred.
  • Experience training and developing skills in others, coaching sales staff to success, communicating clearly, and demonstrating best-practice selling skills.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining positive retailer relationships as well as fostering positive internal relationships with colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate continuous personal development by being open and receptive to feedback.
  • Efficient organizational and administrative skills to complete sales management tasks.
  • Ease both working at a high strategic level as well as tactical, detailed level.
  • Ability to function independently, manage time and resources effectively, and adjust behaviors to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Expertise in using Microsoft Office suite, internet browsers, CRM systems.
  • International experience is a plus.
  • Regular travel by car and by plane as often as needed, including overnight stays as required for tradeshows, internal events etc.
  • Work may occur before/after normal business hours.
