Client Overview: Our client is an ad agency with an uncommon combination of strategy, creativity and technology. 

Position Overview: As the Front-End Web Developer, you will be responsible for creating all front-end deliverables, such as user stories, wireframes, user personas, and site maps. You will also be responsible for partnering directly with clients to achieve their goals and present strategic solutions.

Responsibilities:

Understanding of modern JS and CSS best practices

  • SCSS mastery
  • Experience with ES6, react and modern build systems
  • Maintains a deep understanding and experienced with re-usable style systems
  • Experienced developing custom grid based layouts and implementing existing frameworks
  • Strong understanding of cross browser style inconsistencies and solutions
  • Strong grasp of flexbox and CSS grid
  • Dev team leadership experience with a small to medium sized team
  • Knowledge of pull request review process, and Git flow best practices
  • Understanding of responsive design systems
  • Experience creating component/style libraries

Key Qualifications:

  • 3- years of practice in front-end development 
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent training/work experience
  • Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, Backbone, Angular, Ember, etc.
  • Mastery of CMS systems 
  • Fluency in developing responsive websites using a CSS framework (eg, Bootstrap, Foundation, SUSY, Singularity)
  • Understanding of CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS
  • Experience using files from Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Reflow to develop the front-end User Interface
  • An inquisitive mind, strong problem-solving skills, a genuine curiosity about advances in technology, and motivation to deliver not just good—but great—work
  • Understanding of version control software (GIT or SVN), bug tracking, and build and deployment methodologies
  • A solid understanding of visual design principles, user-centered design, and information architecture best practices
  • Sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to successfully deliver production-ready code without requiring much instruction from others
  • An online portfolio or Github account of projects that demonstrate your coding expertise
